Wings of Hope Equitherapy

Wings of Hope provides equine-assisted activities for children and adults with unique physical, mental, and emotional challenges. Their core purpose is to provide hope and healing through gentle horses and the love of God. JLFW volunteers work with horses and riders each week as side walkers or leaders.

Women's Haven of Tarrant County

The Women's Haven of Tarrant County, Inc. provides shelter, counseling, and other support services to women who have been abused and their families. Teacher's assistants help in diagnostic preschool programs and provide recreational activities for children under stress. Professional services volunteers answer the Crisis Line, conduct intake interviews, and provide support for residents.

Women's House of Alcoholics United

YWCA Polytechnic Child Center

The Polytechnic Child Center provides a preschool for children in the underserved Polytechnic neighborhood, who are often at high risk for poor early literacy skills. Their Summer Scholars program allows children to stay in the preschool during the summer, preventing the loss of reading and math skills and better preparing them for kindergarten. JLFW volunteers and funds make possible several enrichment activities associated with literacy.
