YWCA Polytechnic Child Center

The Polytechnic Child Center provides a preschool for children in the underserved Polytechnic neighborhood, who are often at high risk for poor early literacy skills. Their Summer Scholars program allows children to stay in the preschool during the summer, preventing the loss of reading and math skills and better preparing them for kindergarten. JLFW volunteers and funds make possible several enrichment activities associated with literacy.
