Safehaven of Tarrant County

Safehaven’s mission is to end domestic violence through safety, support, prevention, and social change. JLFW volunteers assist with a local three-day camp for kids ages 6-12 that includes horseback riding, canoeing, roasting marshmallows, and other outdoors activities combined with structured therapeutic activities to help the healing process for participating children. Volunteers help children escape the isolation of past experiences and bond with peers and adults in an invigorating natural setting.
