Immunization Outreach/Immunization Collaboration
In 1991, the Junior League of Fort Worth established a community-wide immunization program to provide vaccinations to children at low or no cost to families. JLFW partnered with the Tarrant County Health Department and Cook Fort Worth Children's Medical Center to hold immunization clinics are several area malls. League members organized a media campaign to promote the event and helped staff the clinics. In the first year of the program, over 2300 children received vaccinations.
