Rivertree Academy

Rivertree Academy educates children from Como to learn well, work well, love well, and lead well. JLFW volunteers work as mentors to offer encouragement and assistance with reading and math. Volunteers coordinate monthly enrichment outings for students and parents to help keep students engaged in educational activities throughout the year.

Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House provides a “home away from home” for families of children receiving medical treatment at area hospitals. JLFW volunteers have the opportunity to serve as front desk volunteers, house services volunteers, or Ronald Room hostesses.

Senior Adult Day Program

Sickle Cell Anemia Association of Texas, Inc.

The Sickle Cell Anemia Association of Texas, Inc. initiates and supports activities that contribute to the physical, emotional, and social well being of those affected by Sickle Cell disease. JLFW volunteers research, edit, and publish a resource booklet; serve as facilitators for parent group meetings; and help distribute food from the food bank.

Sunshine Special

Sunshine Special volunteers perform and bring sunshine into the hearts of senior citizens through song and music.

Teen Court

Teen Court is a volunteer program that assists juvenile offenders in assuming responsibility for their behavior through involvement in the judicial process and service in the community. Offenders are brought before a jury of their peers, where they gain an understanding of their roles in society. JLFW volunteers assist with the enrollment, preparation, and the court process. They also assist with the North Texas Teen Court Competition.

The First Tee of Fort Worth

The First Tee, Inc. is an initiative of the World Golf Foundation. The focus is to give young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop values such as honesty, integrity, and sportsmanship through golf and character education. JLFW volunteers provide instruction and mentoring in life skills and golf skills.
